Our first social: Rendez-vous to hell!
Oh la la! Quelle belle soirée! Our first social evening, held on 19th July 2023, cherishing Stage 17 of the Tour de France, known as the “rendez-vous to hell,” was a triumph! The joy shared with fellow cyclists, was simply magnifique! We indulged in a delightful array of charcuterie and French cheeses, perfectly complemented by the divine nectar of French wine.
As the evening unfolded, we savored a café gourmand, a delightful medley of petit desserts, and to aid in our digestion, oh là là, the splendid génépi! Santé!
Ah, the spectacle on the col de la loze! Witnessing the two world’s best cyclists in a fierce battle was pure poetry in motion. Quel dommage that Pogocar had an off day, but c’est la vie! The magnificent scenery that unfolded before our eyes brought us closer to the essence of France, even in charming Rossendale!
With a humorous twinkle in our eyes and a French twist in our spirits, we celebrated the grace and grandeur of the Tour de France. Mais oui, it was a fantastic evening where cyclists met without their Lycra but joined together with one passion in common, Le Tour De France! À la prochaine a the Vuelta, as we pedal on, embracing the joie de vivre that cycling and friendship bring! Allez Allez Allez!
